Not at hispanics, but illegals around here, all they do is work in tobacco...what I meant by that is that I don't plan to be working there, so they wouldn't be a threat to my job or future job. Hispanics can be doctors or lawyers of course, perfectly capable, but the illegals ones won't be taking any of those positions like that..that's what I meant by that. It did come off as a jab at them, but I didn't mean they weren't capable of anything else, that's just all they do in this area...illegals do jobs like that everywhere's, I don't get the threat to American jobs as they are made out to be. A family member of mine actually dated one for years that lives towards Lebanon, Fincastle and Copper Creek actually, I could take you where they live(mostly St. Paul and Dante, some scattered elsewhere) It kills me when they are made out to be some vile people(not saying you meant that in any way) just the consensus I've seen. They're actually good people from the ones I met, keep to themselves and try to make money, working in those fields is pretty damn hard too...the work itself and the heat to add to it.
That's all just on illegals, immigrants get bunched in with them though. Did he mean it as survive or just because that's really how things are. To be affluent in different languages helps out a lot with different careers, I see that's what he meant by that, not really to use day-to-day.
I couldn't ever imagine Cinco De Mayo being a holiday here, hell I wouldn't mind getting an extra day off, but I could never see it as a 4th type of thing. Gangs will stay in big cities, I think the "8 Ballas" are the only threat of a "gang" around here Lol. I don't see them even being as populated as projected, well not that quick. It really doesn't bother me too much actually, I think it's over-hyped enough as it is right now.
